This is a simplified version of a tool built for a pet boarding and grooming facility — checking real availability and real vaccination requirements before anything gets confirmed.
Booking a stay checks two things automatically: is there actually an open run or suite for those exact dates, and is the pet's vaccination record current. Try booking a Standard Run for dates that overlap two existing stays — it's already full. Try booking a pet with an expired rabies vaccine — it's blocked until that's resolved.
Grooming appointments check vaccination status too, since most facilities require it for any service, not just overnight stays.
On Today's Bookings, an upcoming reservation can be cancelled directly, not just checked in. Cancel one and the run genuinely opens back up for that same time slot, checked the same honest way a new booking is.
